Libraries and archives 收集 materials that express diverse viewpoints and attitudes from different time periods for educational, 档案, and research purposes. We understand these materials may contain images, 语言, and content that explicitly or implicitly embody or represent discriminatory and/or hateful attitudes toward and depictions of different groups and individuals, including (though not limited to): members of various racial and ethnic communities and nationalities; women; the LGBTQ+ community; those with disabilities; religious minorities; and other historically marginalized groups and communities.
Digitization has allowed wider public access to and easier discovery of our 收集ions and St. 云州 University’s rich history, and as such we do not restrict access to potentially objectionable materials. Where offensive materials are encountered, we encourage their use for scholarly research, 讨论, and reflection of our past.
